旅美棒球好手王建民30日清晨返回台灣，停留約一個月的時間，談到2017年球季，王建民力拚重返大聯盟，但也提到「如果沒球隊打，可能直接退休」；至於是否出賽於眾所矚目的WBC世界棒球經典賽？王建民表示「會盡量調整，要考慮新球隊的狀況」。

致於談到眾所矚目的WBC世界棒球經典賽的出賽事宜，王建民表示先前與總教練郭泰源聊了很多，「有講到自己的想法，沒有明確跟他講沒有要打，我說我會盡量調整，另外也會考慮新球隊的狀況。」

王建民說，「當然想要為國家比賽」，但是2017年球季還是未知數，也希望利用春訓的時間好好表現，讓教練團有好印象，「才有機會爭取回到大聯盟」。
